Septum piercing care
Septum piercing aftercare. Risks. Safety.
On the day of piercing, treat FOR the FIRST TIME, then AT LEAST 5 times a day 30 minutes before going outside.
You will need:
1. Cotton pads
2. Cotton swabs
3. Antiseptic: Miromistin or chlorhexidine
Septum piercing treatment process:
1. Take two cotton pads, twist into a tight tube and moisten ABUNDANTLY with antiseptic.
2. Relax the facial muscles, keep your head straight. GENTLY insert wet cotton pads into your nostrils.
3. GENTLY soak the channel. The antiseptic should leak into the canal, to do this, tilt your head to the right and squeeze the cotton pad from the upper left point.
4. Tilt your head to the left, squeeze the cotton pad from the upper right point.
6. Continue rinsing. The whole procedure can take from 3 to 5 minutes.
7. Moisten the cotton swabs with antiseptic.
8. GENTLY move the jewelry to the right, remove the accumulated discharge with a cotton swab.
9. GENTLY move the jewelry to the left, remove the accumulated discharge with a cotton swab.
10. Change the cotton swab, moisten it and repeat the procedure.
This should be done at least 5 times 30 minutes before going outside. With a successful healing after 1 month, you can replace the volume of antiseptic with saline. At the end of the procedure, treat the canal with an antiseptic.
REMEMBER!!!
1. Piercing septum heals for at least 2.5-3 months. The visibility and feeling of an absolutely healed piercing occurs after 1-2 weeks.
2. Any inflammation and injury will increase the amount of treatment from 5 times to 7-10 times a day.
3. To avoid blowing and dust getting into the piercing site, wear medical masks. 4. Exclude visits to open freshwater reservoirs, swimming pools, baths and saunas throughout the healing of the piercing.
5. You can change the jewelry to a ring or clicker after the piercing is completely healed and / or not earlier than a month after the last inflammation.
